1. Introduction

MTTasks is a task management application developed by MTTechDev. At MTTechDev, we take our users' privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our MTTasks application.

By downloading, installing, or using MTTasks, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, we recommend that you do not use the application.

2. Data We Collect

MTTasks is designed with a privacy-by-default approach. The minimum amount of data necessary is collected solely to provide the application's functionality.

2.1. Task Data

All information related to your tasks (titles, descriptions, dates, categories, priorities, and completion status) is stored locally on your device. This data is not sent to any external server unless you voluntarily enable the cloud sync feature.

2.2. App Preferences

We store your configuration preferences locally on your device, including:

  • Interface theme (light, dark, or system)
  • Selected language
  • Notification and reminder settings
  • Other app personalization preferences

2.3. Sync Data (Premium Only)

If you are a Premium user and enable the cloud sync feature, your task data is stored securely on servers provided by Supabase. This synchronization is entirely optional and is only activated with your explicit consent. Synced data includes only the information necessary to restore your tasks on another device.

2.4. Purchase Data

In-app purchases (Premium subscriptions) are processed entirely by Google Play. MTTasks and MTTechDev do not store, process, or have access to your payment data, credit card information, or financial details. All payment management is handled through Google's secure infrastructure.

2.5. RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat as a platform to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat only collects an anonymous device identifier to manage your subscription status. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity or any data that could individually identify you.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

It is important to highlight that MTTasks does not engage in the following practices:

  • We do not collect personally identifiable information — We do not request or store your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other data that could personally identify you.
  • We do not use invasive analytics or tracking — We do not implement tracking tools, behavioral analysis, or monitoring technologies that track your activity within or outside the application.
  • We do not share data with third parties for advertising — Your data is never shared with advertising networks, data brokers, or any third party for marketing or targeted advertising purposes.
  • We do not sell user data — Under no circumstances do we sell, rent, or trade our users' data to third parties.

4. Use of Data

The data we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining the application's core functionality (task management)
  • Saving and restoring your configuration preferences
  • Syncing your tasks across devices (only if you enable the Premium cloud sync feature)
  • Managing your Premium subscription status
  • Improving the user experience and application functionality in future updates

5. Storage and Security

We are committed to protecting the security of your data through the following measures:

  • Local storage: Most of your data is stored directly on your device, under your full control. The security of this data depends on your own device's security measures (PIN, fingerprint, device encryption, etc.).
  • Cloud sync (optional): When sync is enabled, data is transmitted using encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and is stored securely on Supabase servers, which implement enterprise-grade security measures.
  • Data minimization: We only collect and store the minimum amount of data necessary to provide the service.

As a user of MTTasks, you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right of access: You may request information about the data we have associated with your account or device.
  • Right of rectification: You may request the correction of any inaccurate data we may hold.
  • Right of deletion: You may request the complete deletion of all your data stored on our servers. For local data, you can delete it by uninstalling the application or clearing the app data from your device settings.
  • Right of portability: You may request a copy of your data in a readable format.
  • Right to object: You may disable cloud sync at any time from the application settings.

8. Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 29733)

MTTechDev operates from Peru and complies with Law No. 29733, the Personal Data Protection Law, and its Regulations approved by Supreme Decree No. 003-2013-JUS. In compliance with this legislation:

  • We collect data in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner, for a specific and legitimate purpose.
  • The data collected is adequate, relevant, and not excessive in relation to the purpose for which it is gathered.
  • We ensure data security through appropriate technical and organizational measures.
  • We respect the ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition) of personal data holders.
  • We do not transfer personal data to third parties without the prior consent of the data holder, except as provided by law.

If you believe your rights have not been properly addressed, you may file a complaint with the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data, under the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of Peru.

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make significant changes:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
  • We will notify users through app updates on Google Play.
  • In the case of substantial changes affecting data processing, we may send a notification within the application itself.
